I'm having a bit of a monochrome knitwear moment. My latest post for the FT's How To Spend It talks about luxury knitwear and, aside from the obligatory J.Crew statement knit, all my choices have a haute-Beatnik vibe. The jumper above is from a lovely Scottish knitwear company called ESK - and then there's my long-term fixation with Bella Freud's sweaters. I'm not alone, Kate and Alexa are hooked on her iconic slogan knits too.
Recently, I’ve become enthralled by the London designer’s concept of Day for Night. The premise of her autumn/winter 2013 collection is described as “getting dressed in the morning while thinking about how that outfit will translate for the evening”. Sounds like pure, casual glamour to me. For replicating that up all night with the Primrose Hill set vibe, there are Bella Freud candles too:
